An Unforgettable Encounter
In an extraordinary and heartwarming event, a group of lucky Sunreef customers had a once-in-a-lifetime experience when they were fortunate to encounter a magnificent humpback whale mother accompanied by her calf Tail sailing off the shores of Mooloolaba.
“It was an emotional moment for all of us,” Sunreef crew described. “Witnessing a humpback whale mother and her calf who allowed us to be near her and her calf for such a long time with absolute comfort and trust. It was an experience that words cannot fully describe, to have them right next to us, eye to eye – something that will be in our hearts and minds forever.”
It’s moments like these that make the Sunshine Coast the premiere location for
such unique and diverse behaviours, reminding us just how incredibly lucky we are to have front-row seats during the annual Whale Season.

Saltwater Eco Tours Turns 3!
July marked three years since Saltwater Eco Tours first set sail on the Sunshine Coast.
Starting with a handful of tours a month, to now several tours a week, their success has come down to endless hard work, dedication, and the team’s unwavering passion for the local tourism industry.
Congratulations to Simon and the entire team on this incredible milestone; we can’t wait to see what’s in store as you continue to grow from strength to strength – the entire Wharf Mooloolaba family is standing behind you and cheering you on.

After an incredible 5+ years as the owner and founder of Meraki Thread & Co., the wonderful Jess has decided to hand over the reins, allowing Meraki’s journey to continue under the trusted leadership of the new owner, Brook.
A vibrant and passionate Sunny Coast local mother of three, Brook’s vision for Meraki is to “create a space in which mums and daughters can both find something, whilst capturing the true essence of the Sunshine Coast.”
Brook is committed to continuing the path paved by Jess by bringing beautiful, unique Australian-made brands to the store, along with adding a few more items of her own style.
