Celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is one those special days of the year where everyone comes together and celebrates the giver of life, hugs, support and love. This Mother’s Day it’s time to spoil the new mums, mothers, and grandmothers in your family. For the early riser, watch a new day bloom at the beach and mosey over to La Finca Café, take care of that morning coffee craving then peruse their all-day breakfast menu loaded with many wholesome and indulgent options.

If a coffee and muffin is more your style The Booking Box have you covered, with absolute waterfront views of the marina and a very relaxed vibe you can tuck yourself away and soak in the fresh morning air. You never know, Mum may be inspired and rent out a Jet ski while she’s there.

Ninth Street is where you can make mums cheat day dreams come true, who am I kidding? Every day is cheat day! Ninth Street create that Americana feeling by treating Mums’ tastebuds to an explosion of decadent sweet treats and morish savoury delights. From towering burgers and thick shakes to your classic mac’n’cheese it’s all about flavour at Ninth Street.

Ninth Street are in a prime position to take advantage of The Wharf’s free live music on a Sunday, a very special performer will be tantalising the earbuds of the Sunshine Coast Mums and it’s free! The Wharf actually has free live music every Sunday. Pull up a bean bag or situate yourself at a surrounding restaurant to enjoy the sounds of Tess Fapani in the open-air courtyard.

After a nice meal and a sun-drenched dance now’s the perfect time to cool down and take Mum for dessert, who said it had to be after dinner? Oh! that’s right Mum did. Nevertheless, with the sun shining and the music playing I would highly recommend breaking the rules and heading to Fior De Latte Gelateria, the flavours are refined and unique and Mum does deserve to be spoiled afterall. They also serve great coffee, so there’s another chance to top up on caffeine, better yet, make it an affogato!

There are so many great lunch and dinner options, this is where knowing your Mum well comes in very handy… Would she love to escape to the streets of Latin America with some tacos and a beer from El Bigoton, an Asian fusion masterpiece and cocktails at Rice Boi, a European odyssey delving into Spero’s authentic and distinct Greek flavours or a trip down to old Italy with Il Vento serving delizioso pizza and pasta paired with a stunning wine selection.

If these options are all a little exotic for the Mum in your family, you cannot go past a classic seafood feast. Starting with the simplicity of the paper wrapped goodness of some fish, chips and calamari from Saltwater Fish and Chippery all the way to See Restaurant offering fine dining seafood and more at its best, in a beautiful tranquil setting.

What’s that? The whole family is coming to celebrate all the awesome mums, there are definitely plenty of options for large group bookings. Be sure to call ahead to secure your table.

The Dock Mooloolaba has ample space and would love to share their exquisite lunch or dinner menu with you and your tribe. For all the music lovers The Dock has complimentary Mothers Day live music. Good Dogs of the coast, did you know you can hang out at the front of The Dock Mooloolaba? Why not bring your fur Mama along and thank her for all she does for you.

Another spacious venue ready to help you all celebrate is The Savvy Squire, with ample indoor and outdoor waterfront seating it’s ready for the whole crew. A great kids menu and plenty of appetizing options for the grown-ups. With their famous mouth-watering steaks and seafood, Hog’s Breath Cafe can cater for the whole family, a large warm inviting atmosphere is a great place to celebrate Mum and all she does for us.

For the mum who likes to celebrate in the evening, you simply cannot go past Boston Shaker for a sultry sip and some saucy jazz to finish off a day all about you. The Dock Mooloolaba and The Savvy Squire have you covered too, staying open late and offering an upbeat atmosphere. Just because you’re a Mum doesn’t mean you can’t let your hair down too.

Happy Mothers Day!
